Call to Order/Introductions: Chairman Mary Waldron called the meeting to order at 12:00 PM. Members were asked to introduce themselves.
Minutes of the September 19, 2016 Meeting: Shane O’Brien moved to accept the minutes of the September 19, 2016 meeting as written, seconded by Pam McCarthy. So voted.
Guest Speakers: Workshop: ONTHEMAP, conducted by Ms. Alexandra Barker, U.S. Census: Ms. Barker presented on ONTHEMAP. This is an on line mapping and reporting application located at http;//on the map.ces.census.gov/ that shows where people work and where workers live. OnTheMap provides an easy to use interface for creating, viewing, printing and downloading workforce related maps, profiles, and underlying data. An interactive map viewer displays workplace and residential distributions by user-defined geographies at census block level detail. This flexibility allows for a variety of use cases, including emergency planning, transportation planning, site location, and economic development. The application also provides companion reports on worker and firm characteristics, employment and residential area comparisons, worker flows, and commuting patterns. In OnTheMap, statistics can be generated for specific segments of the workforce, including ages, earnings, or industry groupings. On line documentation, including tutorials and walk throughs, is available at ONTHEMAP.
Site Finder Launching: Pam McCarthy said the Town of Stoughton will have a Site Finder breakfast forum Wednesday, November 9 in Town Hall at 10 A.M.
Regionalization of GPS and Site Readiness Program: OCPC Executive Director Pat Ciaramella said OCPC is applying for a grant to help 4-5 communities regionalize GPS and will hold a meeting with MassDevelopment to help publicize the Site Readiness Program. the state is taking applications for communities to become community compact.
GateWay Cities Innovation Awards Event: Mary Waldron said it will be held on November 9, 10 A.M. MassMutual Center, Springfield.
Regional Training Programs in Hospitality: Maryellen Brett said Massasoit Community College is in the planning stages of a hospitality training needs forum to be held in Plymouth in January, 2017. More details to follow.
Regional Group for Veterans Issues: Jason Hunter said BAWIB will host a meeting of a regional group that deals with veterans issues on November 16.

Citizen Planner Training Collaborative (CPTC) Fall 2016 Workshops: CPTC will have 24 classes for citizen planners across the state this fall including classes at OCPC on October 26 and November 15. For more info and to register on line go to www.masscptc.org.
