Comprehensive Planner
James R Watson, AICP, has worked at OCPC since 1982 and has been Supervisor of Comprehensive Planning since 1986. He is responsible for local master plans, community development plans, open space plans and the present regional strategic planning project. He also has been responsible for several environmental and water resource projects and a number of specialized housing studies. Earlier he was Physical Planning Manager for the Oakland, California Model City Program and a Planner with the Oakland Planning Department. He holds a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Masters degree in Government, as well as a Masters degree in City Planning from Harvard University.
